Student Financial Aid Services

Surrey College is accredited by PCTIA* and several of our full-time programs have been designated as eligible for the purpose of the British Columbia Student assistance Program. Not all schools choose to be designated. Before considering enrolment at a school if you are considering applying for a student loan you should confirm the school’s designation status and ensure that that the program of study qualifies for BCSAP consideration.

British Columbia Student Assistance Program

BCSAP is a needs-based program that is available to assist students with educational costs at the post-secondary level. BCSAP supplements funds available to students through work, savings/assets, and family resources/income.

Funds awarded through this program may be disbursed through a combination of Canada Student Loan, BC Student Loan and federal grant.

* The Private Career Training Institutions Agency (PCTIA) has responsibility under the Private Career Training Institutions Act to: Provide consumer protection to the students and prospective students of registered institutions; Establish standards of quality that must be met by accredited institutions; Establish and manage the Student Training Completion Fund.
